Synthesis
Ane way to make rubidium iodide is to react the hydroxide with hydroiodic acrid. The resulting salt can and so be purified past recrystallization.
RbOH(aq) + HI(aq) → RbI(aq) + H2O(fifty)
Rubidium(I) iodide can also exist made by the neutralization of rubidium(I) carbonate with hydroiodic acrid. The resulting common salt can then be purified by recrystallization.
